Jai Brahamani Mataji Ki......................
Legend:
Brahamanimataji is the ‘Aaradhya Devi’ of Dingucha, there is an
interesting background about this divine association . Once the
Dodiya Rajputs went to the hilly terrains of Edar to fetch materials
for building houses. There was no transportation available except
the
bullock-cart which was used to carry goods. From the hills they put the
material in the cart but while coming back by mistake they took the
wrong path. The terrain was rugged and so full with
stones that the bullocks were not able to walk any further. Everyone was
tensed and worried, at last they resorted to the divine refuge of
the Devi Mata. After sometime of prying a miracle happened. Two
sisters with brown eyes came out of nowhere and requested the
driver to give them a lift. The driver replied that the bullocks
were too tired to walk so he was unable to help them out. To this,
the sisters said that everything would be all right if they were
allowed to sit. The driver consented, and the moment both the
sisters sat in the cart the bullocks started running. The driver was
very amazed at this and he requested the sisters not to get down, he
also agreed to the lift they wanted. On the way to Dingucha, by
the beautiful pond at Rayan Talawadi one of the sisters got off the
cart without telling anybody and sat under one of the Rayan trees.
The other sister also got down without telling anyone at the east
entrance of Dingucha amidst shrubs of thorn. After reaching the
village safe and sound, the farmers realized that both the sisters
were no longer with them. Surprised at their absence the Darbaro
started searching for them but in vain. At that night they dreamt a
prophecy from the Divine Mother. She told them that she as Mata Kareharji (Kalesh Harani Mataji) through the
form of the
first sister, she got down first from the cart at Rayan Talawadi and
as Mata Brahamaniji had arrived at Dingucha in the form of the
second sister. Then the villagers constructed a small mandir at the
eastern entrance of the village and started worshipping the Mata
Brahamaniji with diyas and aarti. Right now the total population
that has their roots in Dingucha is more than 7 to 8 thousand and
by the Mataji's grace and divine blessings are all well settled and
lead a happy and prosperous life. Twice the temple was renovated and
the history behind both the reconstruction was different. More than
80 years ago some Patel's went to Rangoon in search of luck. Due to
the revolution, they were forced to leave without taking their
property and money. They had to walk back home through hills with
dense forests of bamboo. Their journey may be traced to the rugged
terrains of Assam. On the way they forgot the road and were lost in
the forests unable to get out. Then they all started praying to Maa
Brahamaniji chanting “Maa please save us and help us to reach home
safely.” At that moment a miracle happened again, a small girl with
white hair, clad in rags appeared. She told them not to worry as she
would accompany them and lead them back to the way out of the
forests. And then how the tedious journey back to Dingucha was over,
no-one realized. When they reached home they realized that the
girl, who helped them in the forests was no ordinary girl but an
incarnate of Mata Brahamaniji. After that they renovated the
temple and made it bigger than before. But currently the temple that
stands at Dingucha is constructed with aids received as donation
from the business class belonging to the Patel community. Before
1991 the villagers who were settled out side the village used to
come to the temple to worship the Mataji on fulfillment of their
wishes (Badha) by their vehicles. A meeting of all the villagers was
summoned and it was decided unanimously to renovate the temple, but
this time with the aim of constructing something that was never done
before. After that “Shree Brahamanimataji Charitable Trust” was
formed in Ahmedabad. Lots of businessmen donated in the tune of
lakhs of rupees to the trust for the holy purpose. Within a couple
of years the small temple was modified to the big and beautiful
temple we see today. The same was inaugurated and opened for
all in February 1996. All villagers had a divine and unforgettable time in the
praise of Mata Brahamaniji and the festival lasted for three days
from 2nd Feb 1996 to 4th Feb 1996. It was a great gathering; more
than 30 thousand people had prashadam during these three days. It
was like Diwali and Garba, Dayro and other programs were organized
by trust to celebrate the event, for all the three nights. Mata
Brahamaniji has blessed us all, the villagers of Dingucha, solved
lots of problems. Whenever a problem has crept up we resort to Her
holy refuge and pray to Her with closed eyes. The stories of Mataji’s divine miracles knowss no end and the legend continues even
today. Even if you don’t belong to Dingucha, Mataji blesses
all Her
children with all Her love and kindness. Just close your eyes and
pray with clasped hands in front of Mataji and She will definitely
bless you and fulfill your requirements and whatever your desires
hold. If
you want to enjoy this divine feeling, I would request you to visit
the temple once. Mataji is very kind and blesses Her children all
the time. Mataji has four hands, mounts on Hans (swan) and wears
white clothes. She holds a lotus in one hand, in the second hand She
has a mala of pearls. In the third hand Mataji holds Kamandal with
Amrut and the fourth hand is open in the Barabhai mudra blessing the
world of Her children. Mataji is the goddess of kindness.

Jai Brahamani Mataji Ki......................
Village:
Dingucha, is a small hamlet located some 13 odd kms away on the
Kalol-Laganaj road, north of Kalol, near the city of Ahmedabad.
Legend says that around 1000 years ago, this village was set up by a
shepherd named Dengo. It's said that after coming to this place he
first built a hut in the center of the so-called village and
henceforth the hamlet that seeded around his hut was called
Dingucha. Even today, the descendants of the Great Dengo, reside in
that village. After sometime two Patidar brothers came from
Kantharvi village near Patan and settled down here. The family
raised by them grew into a great community. The descendants that root
from the elder bother are called Moto Bhag while that of the younger
brother is called as Choto Bhag. One of the family members later
traveled to Indore for agricultural purposes and settled down there.
Right now his family has grown to more than 100 Patidars families in
Indore, and all have the family name of Dengo. Dingucha has
witnessed a lot of influx of people that contributes to it’s present
population. The Solanki families came from Kalari village and
settled down here followed by the people from communities as varied
as the Brahmin, Baniya, Thakor, Luhar, Mochi, Bhangi, Vankar, Darji,
etc. who had come from out side and settled here over ages. The last
to come were the Dodiya & Vaghela Rajputs who virtually started
administrating the village after their arrival. The prime occupation
of the villagers was farming & agriculture and currently few
people still continue to do the same. There is a branch of Doodh
Sagar Dairy in the village and there are lots of business firms in
Ahmedabad & Kalol which are owned by people of this village. After
the 70s the younger generation got attracted to opportunities in USA
and at present around half of the population of Dingucha is well
settled there. There are lots of changes in the village due to
financial support pouring in from the Dingucha descendants settled in the US
and currently the whole village bears a flourished and prosperous
look. There are two parts of the village, the older and the modern.
Education is available until the SSC standards, recently some
computer education facility has been made available in the high
school under the patronage of some businessmen. There is a beautiful
gate constructed on the west entrance side of the village. There are
two lakes in the east of the village, and two wells on the banks of
both the lakes. The names of the two wells are Gaanbho and Suthario. There is small temple of Mata Chamundaji near
the Suthario well and on the other side of the bank the temple of Maa
Brahamanimataji is situated.
